Welcome to the Charlie Company, 701st MSB, 1st Infantry Division company update web site.  As the commander it is my duty to ensure our loved ones, friends and family are able to gain access to frequent updates.  Through this media, you will have a weekly update with pictures to see the great work and progress the company is involved in.  Thank you for all of your support back home and let us not forget those who have gone before us. 

Charlie Company is the Heavy Maintenance Company for the 1st Infantry Division.  We provide direct support maintenance and recovery on a habitual and area support basis.  Currently the company is located on the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Speicher, just outside the city of Tikrit, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.  The company is additionally tasked with the responsibility to provide convoy security support to various other locations within the area of responsibility.  Not only does the company work 7-days a week maintaining equipment, but conducts an average of two convoy support missions per week.  The soldiers have worked extremely hard to improve both their work areas and living areas.  The work will continue into the summer as the temperatures rise well above 100 degrees.   

This site will contain weekly updates every Sunday for the previous week.  In the future each platoon will maintain its own page.  Because I'm a bit behind the power curve, the first set of pictures you will see are ones we took while in Kuwait and on the convoy north into Iraq.
